Kim Wilson BSc (Hons)
Physiotherapy MCSP, ACPIN

Kim started off life in the NHS over 25 years ago and then qualified as a physiotherapist in 2002 from the University of Hertfordshire. She quickly specialised in neurology after completing all her core rotations, following her passion for rehabilitation.

Kim has experience throughout the care pathway from Intensive Care and acute hospital wards, Neuro-rehabilitation units and long term rehabilitation in the community. She has worked amongst many specialist teams at Harrowlands (Dorking), Brain Injury Centre, Queen Elizabeth Foundation (Banstead), National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery (London) and for 8 years as Clinical Specialist Physiotherapist at the Bradley unit (Woking). This role included being the physiotherapy injector with Botulinum Toxin for the Spasticity Management clinic working alongside Rehabilitation Consultants.

Kim found her passion for working with Functional Neurological Disorder whilst working at Queen Square on the 4-week intensive FND rehab programme and has since worked with FNDHope to train health care professionals and runs their peer support groups for Surrey&Sussex.

She utilises a wide range of skills to promote a goal-orientated approach to rehabilitation, these include the Bobath Concept, functional strength training, splinting and postural management.

Kim is also a PD Warrior accredited instructor, NeuroFit trained, an assessor for the TurboMed orthotic and an approved provider for the Transverse Myelitis Society NeuroPhysiotherapy bursary scheme.

Following studying at MSc level Kim is passionate about supporting people to find their own positive journey through rehabilitation and empowering them to achieve their own goals. She is trained in the Bridges self-management programme for Stroke and Long Term Conditions.

Kim has also lectured at under-graduate and post-graduate level. She is a member of the Association of Chartered Physiotherapists interested in Neurology (ACPIN), Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP) and registered with the Health Care Professional Council (HCPC).

Kim set up Surrey Hills Rehab Ltd in 2017 after leaving the NHS to focus on providing a much needed service in her local community.

Alana Gardner BSc (Hons)
Physiotherapy MCSP

A qualified physiotherapist, Alana has worked solely for the NHS since obtaining her first class honours Physiotherapy BSc. degree.

Alana is particularly passionate about falls prevention with older people, and having found herself unable to provide the evidence-based long term strength and balance classes this requires, within the NHS, she went on to obtain a qualification as a Postural Stability Instructor (PSI) with Later Life Training. She now runs Stronger for Longer (Falls Management Exercise) and Otago (strength and balance) classes, as well as PD Fit and PD Balance classes whilst also working on obtaining her PD Warrior Level 2 accreditation. 

Prior to this, Alana worked in business, focusing specifically on international and global brand and marketing strategy.

Naomi Dinneen
MSc Physiotherapy MCSP

Naomi graduated from Liverpool University in 2004 and undertook a masters in Advanced Neuro-musculoskeletal Physiotherapy in 2015.  She has worked in both public and private health settings in the UK and Australia including Harley Street and the Royal Surrey County Hospital.  She has also completed mat work and equipment-based Pilates training with the Australian Physiotherapy and Pilates Institute (APPI).

Naomi loves using her manual skills to treat patients with neurological conditions using massage and mobilisations and enjoys adapting traditional mat work Pilates to suit neurological challenges.  She is passionate about getting you back to where you want to be, whether your goal is to maintain independence, to return to work or your favourite hobby.  She runs the NeuroPilates sessions at Smithbrook Kilns and also has her own studio in Milford with a Pilates reformer https://www.ndclinicalpilates.com/naomi-dinneen.html

In her spare time Naomi enjoys Reformer Pilates, Jungle Body fitness classes, walking, water sports, photography and singing.


Becky Robins BSC (HONS)
PHYSIOTHERAPY MSCP

After Becky completed her A levels, she worked as a physiotherapy assistant in Stroke and Neurology at Mayday University Hospital where her passion for neurology started. She trained at the University of Hertfordshire and qualified as a physiotherapist in 2002.  After 18 months of completing her core rotations she specialised in Neurology rehabilitation and has been helping people with neurological conditions ever since.

Becky has extensive experience throughout the NHS and private care pathways from hyper-acute stroke units, Neuro-rehabilitation units and rehabilitation in the community. She has worked within many specialist teams such as the Sussex Rehabilitation centre (Princess Royal Hospital, Haywards Heath) and Brainkind (Brain injury Charity, Horsham) which provided specialist inpatient rehabilitation, and she was integral to the set-up of the early supported discharge team in the community for stroke in Nottingham. During her time within the NHS, Becky trained in electrical stimulation, splinting, virtual reality rehab, completed her advance Bobath course and a Masters Module in Neuro Rehabilitation.

Becky decided to leave the NHS and set up her own Private Community Neuro rehabilitation business in 2016, where she was able to support people in their own homes to regain independence and improve their conditions within Crawley and the surrounding areas.  During this time Becky trained in PD warrior, adapted Yoga and Tai Chi for neurology and Neurofit and used this knowledge in her physio sessions and group exercise sessions to support those with neurological conditions including stroke, Parkinson’s, MS, GBS, Brain Injuries, Spinal Cord Injuries and FND.

Becky is a member of the Association of Chartered Physiotherapists interested in Neurology (ACPIN), Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP) and registered with the Health Care Professional Council (HCPC).


Claire Couzens
MCSP Physiotherapist

Claire qualified as physiotherapist at Cardiff University in 2014; since this, Claire has worked for the NHS and has always had a passion for neurological rehabilitation. After completing all her core physiotherapy rotations Claire has specialised in neurological physiotherapy for the last 7 years. Claire works part of her week at Surrey Hills Rehab and part of her week for the NHS at a specialised neuro-rehabilitation unit; giving her experience in a variety of neurological conditions including strokes, GBS, Brain Injuries, Spinal Cord Injuries, Parkinsons, FND and Falls management. 

At Surrey Hills Rehab Claire runs a Stronger for Longer (Falls Management Exercise) class and a PD Fit class. 

Claire is trained in the Bobath Concept for Rehabilitation having completed all 3 Introductory Modules. And is NeuroFit trained. Claire believes in holistic health and enjoys understanding how sleep, nutrition, mental wellbeing, movement and exercise all impact health. 

Outside of work Claire enjoys adventure & travelling, being in nature and rambling. Claire plays competitive football and trains at the gym with Crossfit and Weightlifting - Claire enjoys bringing strength and conditioning principles from her sports into her rehabilitation approach and believes everyone is an athlete; especially when they're in physio; training their bodies and looking after their health! - being strong, fit, happy and healthy!

Claire is a member of the Association of Chartered Physiotherapists interested in Neurology (ACPIN), the Allied Health Professionals Functional Neurological Disorder Network (AHP FND Network), Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP) and registered with the Health Care Professional Council (HCPC).

Sarah Patten
MCSP Physiotherapy Assistant

Sarah has worked in Social Care with people with autism and learning disabilities for 10 years, supporting them to achieve their full potential. With a high level of skills and knowledge gained from working in a range of settings, both public and private, Sarah is committed to making a real difference in the lives of people to develop and maintain their movement and independence.

Sarah has a level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care and is an Associate Member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy.

Sarah has two young daughters and enjoys running in the Surrey Hills and walking her dogs.


Louise Carpenter
Physiotherapy Assistant

Louise is a dedicated Physiotherapy Assistant with five years of experience supporting individuals with complex neurological conditions, including epilepsy, stroke and brain injury. After making a meaningful career change into healthcare, she found her passion in rehabilitation and helping people regain confidence and independence. Louise takes pride in providing person-centred care and building trusting relationships with the individuals and families she supports.

She completed her Access to Higher Education Diploma in Healthcare in 2024 and hopes to pursue a degree in Physiotherapy in the future. 

Outside of work, Louise enjoys spending time with her family, going for walks, reading, and listening to podcasts.


Sophie Kiley
Physiotherapy Assistant

Sophie previously worked across Surrey NHS services for 8 years as an Occupational Therapist, specialising in older adult and neuro rehabilitation. She enjoyed working with patients towards holistic goals and regaining independence in daily life. 

After taking a career break to start a family, Sophie has joined Surrey Hills Rehab team to help support clients build their confidence and skills during exercise as a Rehabilitation Assistant. She has completed training in the role of exercise in Parkinson's and enjoys seeing the benefits of staying active on health and wellbeing. She is an Associate Member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy.

In her spare time Sophie is kept busy by two young children, the family dog and trying to fit in her own exercise at the gym!
